My criteria for a school apartment are:
1. Has to be in a walking distance
2. Relatively new and clean

I think compared to other apartments that are between walking distance to campus, crestview North is the best available. Of course they are not as good as some Apts you find in a big city (this is a college town), although they probably cost as much. But compared to other apt I have visited that are near campus, they are the cleaner and werent build during WW2 or the disco era.

I like their gated system. It prevents people from having large groups just come in and out, which reduces the noise and makes parking easier. Of course if you really have bad luck, you could have very noisy nighbor, but I think their wall is thicker that most apts I have lived in and having an onsite office is not bad either.

Now the bad things:
1. heating system is bad.
2. I hate using wall mount aircon units. they are noisy and comsume more electricity during summer.
3. they are really picky about having the apt cleaned. most likely you will not do a good enough job in cleaning when you move out.
4. thrash needs to be picked up more often. large buildups always occur during weekends.
5. they are pricey for apt complex that does not have any other facilities other than onsite laundry
