I lived at Crestview North for 3 years. And honestly, if asked, how I liked it there. Overall, it was awful. I felt sad for most of the time. I do agree with others who have written about the water. Although, I have seen my water look brown, not black, you only get 4 minutes tops of hot water in the shower. I've even talked to the maintenance people about this and they didn't really fix the problem. Also, the distance from campus is pretty far. It's a good 20 minutes walk to and from campus. When they say "15 minutes"...I assume you must be speedwalking. It's a trough tread in 90 degree weather or in the pouring rain since you walk uphill and downhill. The walls when I lived there were brown...and made the apartment feel really gloomy and dark, especially at night. Not too homey. I agree about the bugs..bugs appear. And they're huge. The rent compared to others on campus I would have to say is high. The lighting in the apartment is limited. You have to use a lot of lamps to make the place well lighted, doing that makes your electricity bill soar. Also, the closet didn't have a light inside. I found myself having to need to use a flashlight to find my clothes. I wasn't a big fan of the murphy bed. I would suggest bringing your own. Also, they do have a washer and dryer in the building. However, the dryer doesn't dry clothes. It just leaves your clothes damp. I wouldn't suggest drying anything heavy like towels in the dryer because they'll still be wet. After it's been a while since I've lived there, what I remember most is the water and long walks to and from campus. I learned having hot shower water is a luxury.
