For a college apt, it's pretty decent

I lived at McCormick from 2004-2005. The rent was pretty affordable if you ask me. Some people disagree, but they'll definitely change their mind when they graduate and see how much rent in most cities compare. It's a good deal, especially considering a lot of bedroom furniture, TV, entertainment center, couch, bar stools, etc. are provided.
One thing I did not like was all of the inspections. It seriously is an invasion of privacy to have people constantly coming into your place to make sure you don't have unauthorized roommates.
The water is smelly, too. I guess there is nothing they can do about it because I know people complained all the time and it never got any better. It wasn't as bad if you let the water run for a bit, but I never drank the tap water. Don't use the icemaker, the ice tastes bad, too.
Also, don't expect to get your deposit back. They will try to find any reason to keep it. My room was spotless when I moved out and I didn't see a dime of my deposit!
Other than those things, I really couldn't complain. The apartments themselves are very nice. The amenities are great. The management is okay. By now, I just expect every apt. complex to try and keep your deposit, especially complexes in college town.
Overall, McCormick is probably the nicest apt. complex available to Purdue students. As long as you're willing to commute, it is a lot nicer than Willowbrook or Jefferson Commons.
