I m a second-year resident here and I am regretting it already. It seems nice from the outside, but looks can be deceiving. The water has a terrible sulfur smell and leaves toilet bowls black quickly and often. The dishwasher never has worked properly. It always leaves residue behind and never dissolves detergent properly. It takes multiple attempts to get maintenance to do anything. On top of this, the management said they would clean our carpets a week ago, yet probably never will. They keep switching owners (twice since I ve been here and multiple other times too) and changing policies. It used to be that they change the light bulbs on their fixtures when they went out. Not anymore. They love to rape you with large fees on petty things. Don t be late on rent either, $35 for one day. Also, it is often very loud, even during the week, because certain residents think they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. It seems to be that they can because the staff does NOTHING to address noise issues. The rent is WAY over priced for what one gets back and the staff is incompetent. Do yourself a favor and NEVER sign a lease with McCormick Place Apartments. Get yourself an I Got Screwed green t-shirt if you do.
