These apartments used to be a lot nicer 7 years ago during my undergrad. My friend lived in them and I decided to sign a lease before coming back to WL because I remembered them being nice.

Well, to my disappointment they have gone down hell. My apartment had a horrible paint job. In my bathroom, you can even see hair threads in the paint on the wall. They didn't even clean the apartment before painting it. There are also yellow patches in several places of the ceiling and the walls.

The maintenance crew is not good. It's a couple of guys who don't seem to take the job seriously. My furnace once stopped working, and it was freezing outside, so I paged the maintenance guys, and the maintenance manager called and said he's not gonna check it until the next morning. Translation: I'm not gonna drag myself out in the cold to do my job and you have to sleep the night in your fleece jacket and just deal with it!!!

Also, the walls are extremely thin. There are a lot of families with kids in these apartments and the kids are loud. My neighbors had a daughter who played [badly] the piano all the time. Good luck having an afternoon nap!

Finally, their management team is not nice. I've lived in the US in rented properties for the past 10 years and these guys are the first to treat me coldly as just somebody who got suckered into signing their contract.

I highly recommend you look elsewhere. These apartments are definitely not worth the money they charge.
