It works, a few complaints but still here

I'm a grad student and find the place to be very affordable with a roommate. For those with big complaints, go ahead and pay $100 more to have plush carpets.
I have had some problems. Walls are thin so I can hear neighbors base on stereo. Had slight problem with ants, minor problems with sink and dishwasher that were fixed in a few days.
Other than that, the place is kind of old, if you grew up with rich parents, it would probably not be up to your standards, but for me it gets the job done. As others have pointed out, its very roomy, and the balcony is a nice bonus.
The wait staff isn't the brightest, but they are probably the best looking I've ever seen, at least 3 of them. It can be a pleasure to turn in your rent.
Anyway, its nice because I can get to campus on my bike in 6 minutes, so thats key for me. I'm in my second year now at this place, so that should say enough. One bad think, they did hike prices.
