Look the apartments are old, service staff is not really quick and the management staff is not the brightest around. But the apartments are really affordable.

You will not find a better deal for an apartment at walkable distance from Purdue

I was wondering, are you living there again. Would you if you had to. A friend and I were looking into it, and it appears that not alot of people like it. I was also wondering about the floods

The apartments have never flooded. I asked them before I signed my lease.

LOL..."the aparments have never flooded." I have been around the WL area since '98. The WotW has had 2 major floodings.

FLOOD ONE: One year (2000?) all the fish swam up onto the property and died when the flood waters receeded back. The smell from the rotting fish was horrible!! There was a battle between the apt and the city as to who was responsible for cleaning it up. It took about a month I think before a decision was made. (You could smell the fish all the way up to the edge of the Purdue campus.)

FLOOD TWO: I think it was the summer of 2004. Most of the parking areas were flooded out. A lot of cars, left in the lot over the summer, were totalled due to the flood. A few of the apts in the SE buildings were minimally flooded inside. (Yes, I saw this first hand.)

During the summer, we seem to always get a lot of rain around July 4th. If you are staying in the apt during the summer, the flood waters can be a bit of a problem.

Despite that, its not even really affordable. You CAN find cheaper places to live closer to campus, wish I looked into it more.
