Summary:
* Conveyence to school is a big problem
* Management staff are extremely discouteous and unhelpful to say the least
* Maintanence sucks so bad
* Wabash river floods into the community
* For the same price or little more, there are better apartments available on campus where you can live in peace.

I have been living in this community for almost a year now and can't wait to get out of this community. Apartments are not worth the money. It's not close to campus and if you venture into walking, you got to climb a steep slope which will get you very tired by the time you reach school. There is only one bus route that runs every half hour until 7pm on weekdays and no service on weekends and school break time. The worst part of all, its not eligible for 'C' permit and so you can't use your car for conveyence.

The local community management sucks so bad that nothing gets fixed soon. Even worse is the fact you *don't* get treated with respect by the community employees if you are not white. One example is that it took 2 weeks(15 days) to fix our apartment's only restroom light and door after we signed the lease. We were not allowed to see the apartment until we signed the lease and we had to use the restroom with no light and broken door. We hoped things would get better later but it just got worse.

I am happy to find a duplex(two floor) apartment closer to school and up the slope just for $25 more per month. So, keep this as your last option because at williamsburg there will always be available apartment even after August.

I completely disagree with this review. As an employee we have never discriminated against someone because of their race. It is normal that you don't see your apartment until you move in because we cannot show occupied apartments. As for maintenance, having over 200 apartments move in on the same week is VERY hectic for the staff to fix evertyhing immediately. They do the best they can. You knew when you signed your lease how far away the apartments were. Enjoy the fresh air! I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your apartment.

As for not being able to show occupied apartments, I'm currently signing an intent to vacate where I can initial as to whether or not I want people coming in and out of my apt (by appointment, so thats a good thing) to see one that is lived in. I was fooled by the model apt as well.
