I have just completed 3 different leases at Ashley Place (totaling 22 months). In 10 years of living in apartments, Ashley Place is hands down the best I have ever lived in. I would dare to say that you will not find a better maintenance situation than you find at Ashley Place. The JC Hart company who owns Ashley Place gives their maintenance staff a budget to work with directly rather than having the apartment manager control the purse strings. This empowers the maintenance staff to really care for the facility.

The property is well landscaped and has won awards for its landscaping. Most apartments have a view of woods or ponds.

The office staff are VERY accommodating. My wife and I were looking to begin the process of trying to buy a house at the end of our first lease. We received two VERY gracious short term leases (a 6 month and a 3 month) while we were in that process and uncertain what would happen.

Community offers pool and hot tub (that is open roughly May 1 - October 31, much longer than most). There is a business center with computer and printer/copier/fax (with free fax sending). The workout room is small, but has good gear and is well maintained. Showers and restrooms are available off the workout room that makes it VERY convenient for workout or pool use. Offices have a small "clubhouse" room that can be rented for events that includes a kitchen and has active cable TV for anyone to come watch.

Two bedroom apartments are split bedroom floor plan which is very nice for roommate situations. Nice sized walk-in closets and a garden tub (I believe this is true of every floor-plan). Each apartment has a corner electric fireplace which adds a nice touch of ambiance. We placed our TV on top and it became our entertainment center.

The office signs for packages and keeps them for you for pickup. They keep the building staffed through 9:00 PM which makes package pickup VERY convenient.

Ashley Place provides a great community atmosphere with little fear of crime. There are police who live in the complex and there is a police officer courtesy officer available through the office's main number. 24 hour emergency maintenance which is actually quite responsive to emergency situations.

As for the price, they have competitive rates for the quality of the complex. They are not the cheapest in town, but I certainly wouldn't recommend the cheapest in town. Trust me, I lived there.

All in all, I personally feel that Ashley Place is the best deal you will find for apartments in the Carmel/Westfield area.
