I have lived at Aspen for a couple of years and have had many issues with Tiehen Group. Maintenance personnel want to help, but are often limited on what they can do because of higher-up restraints. They had to replace my front door that was splitting down the middle with an old door that used to have a window in it and spackle over the hole that was there. My paint on my walls has been peeling from the day we moved into the "newly over-hauled building." My wood floors upstairs have water stains all over them. I had a gas leak that management constantly said was my imagination and that they could not find anything. They would not replace the stove where I knew the leak was coming from. I finally had a friend over who looked at the stove and it had a faulty gas toggle switch- would not shut off gas after you turnd the oven off- thus the leak. Parking is an issue that it seems will never get taken care of. Neigbors are constantly parking in front of your house. Management would not so much as mention a word to them about my pregnant wife having to walk down the block because neighbors' friends were parking in front of entire buildings' residences. I introduced the idea of static cling tags with ID numbers on them indentifying the one vehicle able to park in front of each residence and ticketing any others, but they turned that down as too expensive citing that there was no problem with parking and that they took care of the issue with a letter sent out a month before. Bugs and pests is another issue. There are always spiders and crickets running around your house. I have a daughter, pregnant wife and am always wondering if there is a spider in the bed with them. With as much as you see the pests- it is a concern. The streets and "parking areas" are less than satisfactory with the concrete and asphalt torn up with huge potholes. The rent is too steep with what you are getting. Do yourself a favor and shop around. Don't take it out on maintenance- they are not to blame. Again, they want to help. They have given me ideas and "outside" help when they can.
