I lived at Aspen Place for 3 years. At first it was a nice place to live. Then after I lived there for 2 years they were more interested in keeping the apartments full instead of having good tenents live there. The police were called all the time.

It was an unusual night if the Police were not there at least once. I know when I lived there I had to call the Police on a weekly basis because several of our neighbours were drunk and fighting all the time. There were two hit and runs right in front of my house one week- caused by two separate tenants, our car was keyed twice, and I witnessed real fights at least once a week (seriously). It was not a safe place to live. The olde management tried to do something about it, but could not get permission or authority from Tiehen to follow through with anything. There were a couple of known drug houses right across the street from me and it took several arrests for anything to be done about it. Aspen does not do anything about people flying up and down the street on a daily basis. I saw a few kids almost hit a couple of times by these idiot speeding. Our entire building made complaints over and over and nothing was ever done. It took a courageous neighbour with a young daughter to stand right in front of one of the speeding cars to stop it while another person videotaped it all and got the licence plate numbers just to get the Police out there. They then handed in all the plates and tapes. The Police started coming through there more often, but could not issue tickets because it was private property. Ask any cop in Gardner about Aspen and they will tell you they are there all the time.
