Decent Apartment - Fair Price - Great Location

After looking at a bunch of apartments in the KC area, I finally chose Rainbow Ridge. Although not spectacular in appearance, the surrounding area is secure and quiet. The tenants are professionals -- often medical students -- and parking is usually easy to find (this is a huge plus in Kansas City where parking is usually a nightmare).
The main reason I went with Rainbow Ridge is its location. It's just close enough to central KC to be convenient, but it's just far enough away to be out of the ghetto. And since it's not on Westport road (a lively party center), the prices are relatively cheap. For example, "City Place" on Westport road, a new and beautiful complex, charges more for its 1-bedroom than Rainbow Ridge charges for its 2-bed, 2-bath.
My biggest complaints:
1. No washer/dryer unit - only hookups.
2. On 1st floor, I can sometimes hear people upstairs walking around. But only disturbing when I'm trying to get to sleep.
3. No ceiling light or fan in the bedrooms! If you want bedroom light, you need lamps. This is not a big deal, but it's an inconvenience.
Overall:
I would recommend Rainbow Ridge to friends. It's a decent, quiet apartment for a competitive price.
