I moved in Rainbow Tower apts in 1996 and loved it at first. I really had no major problems except for the Security officers. My boyfriend at the time (now my husband) and I had a small arguement and the security officer made it his business to insist on getting involved where it wasnt his concern and to basically make a "mountain out of a molehill" He was trying to convince me that my boyfriend would hit me and be abusive and he has never done that!!!! We married and moved to the 4th floor to a larger apt, and lived there until we moved out in 1997. We had a flood in our kitchen and it flooded the whole area and got under the cabinets and on the carpet in the living room just under the bar area. When we moved in, it needed new carpet and we moved in fast so they told us we had to deal with the carpet the way it was so we asked them to please jot it down so we would not get charged for stains already there. When we moved out, and cleaned the apt, and asked why we didnt get our deposit back, we got a letter saying that we owed money due to carpet damage, and apt damage!!!! They also told us that our cat damaged the carpet and all from this flood we had, our cat was declawed and spayed and very well behaved but it seemed like she was always to blame in their eyes. They totally ignored what happened before and also they took a picture of an apt that was trashed (not ours the blinds were horizontal and ours were vertical) and they tried to tell us that we trashed our place.....not true!!!!!
End result: They screwed us and lied to us and they lie about it. The rent is over priced and you cant find any parking unless you want to pay a high price for the underground and even then you risk things in that dark place down there!!!! Also if I have room here, we had some brand new clothes stolen from the laundry and the lock was taken off and never replaced. I moved in because of the safety of the place and I felt no safety!!!!
