I moved here March of 05' and I had to transfer 7 days AFTER I moved here because of MOLD & MUSHROOMS growing in my wall and up through my carpet. It made my 2 year old daughter ill to the point to where she had to be hospitalized. MANAGEMENT DID NOT WANT TO PAY TO MOVE ME>>>>NOR DID THEY WANT TO TRANSFER ME. They wanted to tear a HUGE hole in my entire living room wall, cover it with a plastic covering and have me live around it for 4-6 months. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to pay to have my belongings moved since I just payed to have it moved here and then they only paid $50.00 towards the cost of moving, that did not cover the reconnect fee for elect, phone, or cable, NOR DID IT PAY FOR THE ENIRE COST OF MOVING. WILHOIT's regional manager does not care about the tenants AT ALL. She is a cold hearted, hateful person. My daughter passed away in my apartment I transferred to 3 months later and she would not let me out of my lease due to the fact that my daughter passed away at home...SHE SAID THAT THE REQUEST WAS UNHEARD OF, AND IF SHE WAS TO PUT HERSELF IN EVERYBODY'S PLACE SHE COULD NOT DO HER JOB!!!!!! Heartless. They built this property TOO fast. They are beautiful on the outside and inside, BUT it's the defects, the flooding and faulty smoke detectors and the crappy owner's represenatives that it's not worth it all. You cannot call them in Springfield because they NEVER answer your calls OR call you back. The office staff has been GREAT they can only do what they can, but the OWNER'S need to invest in compassion for their residents. You can go to another complex and pay the same amount of rent or maybe even a little less and be treated with respect.
