My friends and I moved to Suntree thinking it was a good idea. At first it was fine, but once my friend and I got our own seperate apartments things went downhill. They put a notice on my door saying I owed them $200 for electricity because I never put it in my name, I had to get UBP to fax my information over saying that I did. My best friend got a notice saying she never paid rent, but I was WITH HER when she did, so they just paid it again, and everything was good right' No, because she was gone for the weekend, came home, and called me crying because her locks were changed. They didn't even give her an eviction notice!!!!! Then they stole her couches, no joke, her sister tried to get them for months after the eviction and they just told her they weren't there and they had no idea what she was talking about. I have an ex friend that works for them now and is quitting because they offered to give her the couches they stole from MY FRIEND. They also billed my friend $5000 for damages that were either non existant or were broken when she moved in. They never came to fix anything either. I first moved into my studio and my sink was clogged, come to find out it was because the disposal was rotted. My breaker box didn't have a cover on it(which is against the law) and I filed complaints with the Codes office 3 times, and it never got covered until 2 weeks before my lease was up. There were tons of bugs, matentance would let themselves into my apartment, one time i was in the shower and it scared the ---- out of me. The whole winter I had a board over my window because they didn't want to put the airconditioner in until summer time, so it looked like ----. I told them to fix it because I wasn't going to pay for heat if it was going to leave out my boarded up window. So they brought plastic over and duck taped it!!!
As for crime----- there was a swat team at my friends building because someone was hiding a convict. Another guy killed himself and no one found him till his rent was late, and he was dead in his room. People fly down the parking lot like mad. We heard a huge wreck and we ran outside and watched someone get slammed into the ground and cuffed by police, because they were running and drove through the parking lot, hit a parked car, and then the car they were driving blew up. There was also a helicopter flying with search lights right above my building trying to find someone that got away from the police station up the road.

The only good thing I got out of living at that place was to know what to look for while searching somewhere else. We call it the "suntree vibe" which meant DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I totally agree with you. I loved the apartments at first but then I found out the place went to s***. I had to pay them out the a** after I moved out. The manager called me and said that we were disgusting people because of a stain on the carpet that was there when we moved in. I had to deal with roaches because the nasty girl upstairs had like 15 cats and it was disgusting. When I gave my notice, they talked to me like i was trash. Worst, worst, worst place to live. Glad to know that I wasn't the only one that hated this crappy place
