Yo!

This is the worst place I have ever lived

Don't even think about moving here! The management is extremely unhelpful and the worst I have ever dealt with. Then again, there is complete turnover of the management team about every 2-3 months. But, a prevailing theme seems to be to hire the snottiest, rudest people they can find. Sure they act nice when you are looking at the apartment and considering living here, but once you sign a lease it's over.

I found out while I was turning in my 60 day move-out notice, that I had been paying to use one of their washers and dryers the entire time I had been living here even though I own the washer and dryer in my apartment. It took them over 3 weeks to look through my file to determine whether or not they would reimburse me for my overpayment. In the end, they informed me that with the "concessions" I have been receiving, they didn't owe me a refund since the amount of the "concessions" equaled my overpayment. First of all, I have no idea what "concessions" they are referring to and it's too much of a hassle to deal with the people in the management office to try to get my money back. It's definitely not worth the headache they cause.

Another downside to living here is the complete lack of maintenance. If a maintenance problem does arise, you're better off ignoring it and living with it. They have "fixed" my dishwasher 3 times within the past 10 months and each time they "fix" it, it gets worse. I'm currently handwashing my dishes because they obviously are too cheap to replace my dishwasher with a new one (which is what needs to happen). Plus it takes them forever to come and fix anything. I've had to call multiple times to remind them that I still had a maintenance problem that needed to be addressed and all they could tell me was that they were overloaded with repairs and they would get to me when they had the time. That's nice and all, but if they'd actually fix the problem in the first place instead of jacking around and not actually doing anything they wouldn't have to keep coming back to "fix" the same problem over and over again! And if the management does want to be cheap, they could at least hire more repairmen so that everyone's maintenance problems could be addressed in a more timely manner.

Another concern of mine is the safety. The apartment complex itself looks nice which makes it a prime target for robberies in this area. The management convinced me when I moved in that they had "off duty" police officers patrolling the complex. Well, the apartment next to mine got broken into less than a month ago. And one of my friends that lives here as well got the wheels stolen off his car in the middle of the night. I'm not really sure where these "off duty" police officers were when these two incidences occurred, but I'm guessing that none of them were on-duty at the time. I've only seen the "off duty" officers in the middle of the day and I haven't seen one for over 10 months now. Maybe the management decided it was too expensive to pay them.

This may have been a nice place to live when it was built 20 years ago. But, currently it has fallen into disrepair and into the hands of cheap management. I must admit that my apartment does look really nice. I very much like the layout and the spacious bathroom and walk-in closet. However, I've decided to forgo these luxuries for a better management team that addresses it's tenant's needs and a safer area.
