If you don't, you will lose a good portion of your security deposit. I was charged $145 total for carpet cleaning and an administrative fee. However, my carpets were not at all dirty (other than the stains at check in) and the administrative fee is not a damage at all. This simply should not happen.
Furthermore, painting was taken out, though all that was on the check out sheet was that painting needed to be done, not that I caused damage. I was also charged $50 for windows and blind cleaning, though neither is a listed item on the check out sheet.
Total, I had $235 taken out of my security deposit, and there was not a single actual damage done. My parents actually did the moving out, and they cleaned many apartments and houses to suit military inspection, not once having a problem. The apartment was spotless.
I went to speak to a manager about this, and she ended the conversation and essentially kicked me out of her office. She was adversarial the second "carpet cleaning" and "administrative fees" were brought up. And she refused to produce receipts.
Don't move there unless you redact any automatic deductions from your lease. I plan to sue them for the back payment of what was taken from my security deposit.

You should have done something about it. Look up the Landlord Tenant Act. It is illegal to charge for administrative fees. We won those back easily when we sued Swan Mgmt. You should have gone after them for the carpet thing, that's EXACTLY what they pulled on us and we got our full deposit back in court. Good luck!
