I would have written this review earlier but I didn't want to hurt my chances to get a sublease.
First of all, at move in the apartment was disgusting, the smell of dog urine was killer. Our move in check list of problems was two pages long. We should have known when they scheduled a move in one day after somebody moved out. They claimed and charged for carpet shampoo yet we saw no proof that it was ever done, in fact quite a bit of gunk in the carpet to prove otherwise.
The switch plates look like the were removed from a auto repair shop.
We had serious problems with our heat pump through the year, requiring multiple service calls and leaving us without AC for two of the hottest nights of the year. Worst of all they claimed to have replaced the outside unit new a new one, they simply jerry rigged the thing which left it running with poor efficiency for the rest of the year, freezing up in the winter.
The build quality is laughable, you can see this after any snow. When every home or apartment in the area is covered in snow the Aberdeen roofs are melted clean. Which of course means we are paying to melt snow. Which brings me to the sidewalks, in the winter they do NO snow or ice clearing except for in front of the leasing office. It is actually very dangerous. I know I fell a few times myself and I'm accustom to Kansas winters.
We got a cheap lease for the first year but the renewal rate was raised $200 a month.
We did get most of our deposit back except for the "carpet cleaning fee" and processing. But then we left the apartment about three times cleaner than we entered.
In short, keep looking you can do better.
