Aberdeen

 

I have lived at Aberdeen for 2 years and have hated almost every minute of it.

There are a great deal of parties - some in the parking lots.

I've actually had a partier urinate in my patio from the parking lot.

Noise is a constant issue.

You can hear everything your neighbors are doing.

And I do mean everything.

The grounds are badly cared for.

There is garbage in the lawn and when mowing, the landscapers simply mow over the trash so there are often torn up beer cans in the grass.

Maintenance is shoddy.

There is one maintenance man for three complexes so he cannot get to things quickly.

My washing machine went out and it took 1.5 months to get it replaced.

And that was with constant badgering on my part.

When my dryer broke, it took 3 weeks.

Again, I had to complain regularly and finally call housing authority for it to be taked care of.

Snow removal is also a problem.

They often don't take care of snow removal until you call and ask them to.

Also, when I moved in the apartment was filthy.

Trash behind the fridge, grime on the walls and floors.

It was disgusting.

I had to clean the place myself before I could move in.

I will say, however, that when I complained about the cleaning, they did credit my rent $25.

Not enough to cover the actual cost of cleaning but better than nothing.

Although the apartment itself looks nice, there are so many problems with the complex that it isn't worth the misery.

I definitely don't recommend this apartment complex.
