This apartment was very cheap to live in. Perfect for a college student with limited income. In addition to rent, we only paid for electricity and cable. However, not paying for heating and cooling means being subjected to air conditioning that goes out every other day in 90-100 degree weather. Also, once the a/c was turned off for the fall, it couldn't be turned back on. So when we switched to heat, we had to buy box fans on the unexpectedly warm days. In fact, we didn't have the heat on for most of the winter. Living on the top floor of this apartment means having the windows open all year round. It would be 10 degrees outside and we'd have a fan blowing in the window.
We were lucky enough to have an apartment with new carpet, but our walls were full of holes and desperately needed to be painted.
Parking is limited to one car per bedroom. We weren't given any notice of this until move-in day. There were two of us with two cars living in a one bedroom, but they told us that the lot isn't patrolled. That was a lie because we were told a month later that one of us would have to park up the street and not in the lot. If we didn't comply, the car without the parking pass would be towed. It wouldn't have been so bad, but we had to walk along the busy street, and the lights in front of the buildings were constantly burned out or didn't even have bulbs.
Neighbor noise wasn't a big problem. It was the door that opens into the hall that was a problem. I wouldn't recommend this place to a light sleeper. People come and go at all hours, which means waking up to the door slamming many times a night.
For the money, it's okay but I'll be looking for something nicer with more attentive staff and no dog poo on the sidewalks in the fall. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
