When I lived at Berkeley Flats they had gotten new management who were very friendly, but still unable to improve the living conditions in the apartments. They meant well, but repairs were never done in a timely manner and never fully taken care of. I was in one of the remodeled apartments, but I had a gas leak, problems with the old air conditioning unit, and water leaking into my apartment from the roof. Eventually the walls in the living room and bedroom had large areas turning a yellow-orange color. For over a month the repair man, from all the First Management complexes, did not take care of the problem. I eventually took care of it myself with 'Kills' paint. My boyfriend also had an apartment here. His place did not have as many problems as mine, but it was still shabby and not kept up.

Also, can hear neighbors clearly through walls and parties outside every once and a while. However every tenant I met was friendly. On game days they start the music and band practice at 7am, but I got use to hearing it and didn't mind.
