I lived in this complex for two years. I know it's been nick-named Felony Hoods by a lot of people, but it really was not bad at all. We hardly ever had maintanance problems, and when we did, they came and fixed them relatively quickly.
I only heard of two break-ins in the two years I was there. Not a ton of noise, but there are a lot of foreigners living there now. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's something to consider if you want American neighbors.
It's also really close to Dillons which is nice. Overall, it wasn't bad at all. It's decently priced for a first apartment.
