When I walked into my new apartment, I expected it to look something like the model...I was very wrong. The carpets were disgusting, it smelled like smoke, the cabinets were dirty, and there were noticable hand and fingerprints all over the walls.
We did have maintenence come in to paint all the rooms per manager bc the last tenants did horrible patch jobs. When the painters came in, they partly covered the floor in tarps and half-a**ed the job. They got paint on everything!! And when we asked who was going to clean all of it up they said, "well I guess you are".
The 3rd night I was there a woman was stabbed almost 30 times in the throat and chest. Yes, it was a psycho bf that did this awful crime but it happened a couple buildings down from me. I did not feel safe at all. When I met w/ the manager and asked her about it, she said the whole incident was the woman's fault and that she was fine. I found out the victim stayed in critical condition for a long time and her ex bf is serving 30 yrs for attempted murder.
It is quite noisy there, especially during the weekends. The party buses like to park in the streets and wait for ppl so that can be very annoying. And even if you live on the 3rd floor, you cannot escape loud neighbors. The ppl below us had the same music on everyday that rattled our toiletries off of the shower. And I would wake up to a man singing mariah carey sunday morning at 8 sharp.
The price is cheap and the parking is really great, so are the buses. But since I am a smaller female, I was worried about the lack of lighting and safety precautions. But the worst part is: you'll get your deposit back....it 3-4 weeks!! It's retarted, we pay them when we move in, why can't they give us our $$ back if we leave it in perfect condition''!! "It has to go through our office in Arizona" It sucks bc if you guys are pressed for $$ like me, a student, I needed that deposit for my next apartment.
Overall, it's good for the price but the rest is awful!!
