I've been living here for more than a year now...The first 4 months were uneventful..after that troubles began! Every month there was some new problem cropping up. Especially the so called renovations have taken months, causing untold inconvenience and are still not complete( though, the rent has been hiked). I was not at all amused when I got a lesson on how unfair LIFE generally is when I questioned the management's unfair ways. The carpet which was in a pretty good condition was ripped off and replaced with wooden flooring in the name of 'necessary' and 'useful' renovation, forcing us to move out and move back into the same apartment in the middle of a hectic semester. We still do not have new appliances and the house is now an acoustical nightmare. It feels like I'm sharing my living space with twenty other people. When some one laughs aloud in the apartment next to you, its as if they are by your side. When some one takes a shower upstairs, its as good as they are using your restroom. It gets all the more annoying when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep anymore because of the music being played in the adjacent apartment unit. I could go on and on with my ranting...but I will end now...

I strongly recommend one and all to NOT rent apartments in Colonywoods. I'm sure if you look keenly enough you will find a lot better living spaces in Lawrence.

Well its still better than being woken up in the middle of the night by moaning and mattress springs creaking.My poor neighbors(upstairs) have no clue that their private act is no longer private,whatever they say or do is heard clearly by me ;thanks to the new wooden floor.Its been going on for an year.I cant complain........!!!!!!
