First off. DO NO RENT FROM ANY FIRST MANAGEMENT PROPERTY. Yes, they look nice and clean, and the staff is very friendly when you go in and speak with about renting. What you don't see is the money hungry, litigious beast that is "First Management". My biggest complaint is with the management of these apartments. With only 2 months left on my lease, I received a 3 day eviction notice for being 20 days behind on my rent (Transitioning between jobs).

Also, god forbid something happen and you need to move away from Lawrence, KS. First Management will not allow you to break your lease under any circumstances and require you to sub-lease.

If you are considering renting from Chase Court or any First Management property, I strongly urge you to keep looking. If I could go back in time, I would not even consider a FM property an option.

20 days late. . .don't you think that they have every right to warn you when you are nearly a month behind in your rent? Also, my guess is that this isn't your first time of being late. Most offices only go to such extremes when you are consistently late in your payments. My guess is that this is what really happened. I think it's sad that you feel the need to blame others when it's you that is irresponsible. I also live here and I have never had problems with the office, First Management or the staff. Ususally people who feel the need to complain in this manner have brought the problems on themselves. Posting negative comments on a website is just childish and sad. Grow up.
