safety issues..pool annoying...

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I lived at Highpointe for two years.
To be honest I had no real complaints, the bathroom was really dirty but besides that it was a typical generic apartment.
I never felt unsafe until my neighbors across from us (on the top floor) had two men climb on their balcony and try to break the lock with a hammer.
Luckily the police caught them down the road.
Then a girl was raped at gunpoint over Christmas Break.
After that I was sleeping on my couch one night while I let my guest have my bed, and witnessed a person jump on our balcony and take our grill.
Needless to say I was extremely upset and scared.
Even though we paid more money to be on a higher level, that didnt matter.
There were numerous break ins the 2 years I lived there.
The pool is always filled with non resident girls who go there just to check the other girls out.
Very sorority like crowd at the pool in the summer.
Parking was great, the staff was friendly and responded in a timely manner.
Overall I would say if you are a guy with not a lot of valuable items, go for it.
If you are a girl I would say no, or make sure you take safety cautions like turning your alarm system on.
