Highpointe

 

I used to live at Chamberlain Court (1740 Ohio St., Lawrence, KS 66044), managed by the same company that owns Highpointe, FIRST MANAGEMENT.

Same nightmarish situation as what the Highpointe residents experienced.

BEWARE: Has a clause in the F**KED-UP Contract that states if the utilitiies revert to FIRST MANAGEMENT, the company will still charge you for the utilities until the expiration of one's lease PLUS a fine.

I had to move out before the end of my lease despite having paid all rent due.

On the checkout day, the manager cranked up my a/c to the max because it was the middle of summer.

I protested, but she said I could go ahead and cancel all utilities under my name.

A couple of months after that, the security deposit refund that I received was a measly $90 because FIRST MANAGEMENT had charged me for the utilities plus a penalty for canceling utilities before my lease expired.

I can't even file this at Small Claims Court because I'm living in California now.

FIRST MANAGEMENT is run by a bunch of crooks.

You will be sorry if you live there.
