I lived at Highpointe for 3 years. The atmosphere at the place was friendly and I felt safe(because we had the alarm activated). However, the management was something else. They were never nice until I was handing them a rent check(which the place is overpriced). I had a package delivered and was never notified and then they called my roommate to say that it had been there a month and they would ship it back if I didn't come get it. Well, I look on the ship date and it had shipped exactly one week before. I let them know what I thought about that. Also, in May of 2007, we were all called about a movie that had been checked out in our name. None of us had rented the movie so we went to the front office to clear this up. When I asked who rented it, they said we don't know we just write down the apartment number. They told us that we had to pay or else and I told them we weren't paying for something we didn't rent. They just couldn't believe that someone would rent a movie under someone else's apartment number. HELLO! To get a free movie! Smart people over there. But, when I looked in our lease, there is a page specifically stating that you must sign in order to rent a movie. It doesn't matter because we will still get screwed either way.

Also, when we switched apartments, we got a $100 deduction from our security deposit because there was a hair on the cabinet and the tub wasn't clean enough for them. That apartment was cleaner after we moved out than when we moved in. So, when we moved into the next one, we took pictures and documented everything so that we wouldn't get screwed over once again.

If you want to pay a lot of money and get treated like crap, then live at Highpointe. If not, then look elsewhere.
