So...I've been living here 1 year and 4 months.

Don't blame me, I got the shaft on 2 housing contracts.

If I had better options I wouldn't be here.

In my first apartment they 1.

Straight up lied about getting the carpet shampoo'd before we moved in (said they did!!) 2.

Took $50 out of my deposite for already existing grout stains in the tub.

In my 2nd apartment they 1.

Didn't fix a basketball sized whole in my closet for a year (they even sent over a guy to take bogus measurements to shut me up!) 2.

Was without lights in my kitchen for 3 weeks.

Took $50 out of my depo.

to clean a stove that I never even used.

4.

Had a spinkler head soak down my entire porch every evening.

The apartment I'm living in now is the kicker though.

The concrete foundation under my room has a crack, and every time it rains(lots in Lawrence)a pool of soaked carpet appears in my room the size of a beachball.

It smells up the entire place, reactivates the mold, gives me a headache, and takes about 2 weeks to dry out...IF it doesn't rain again.

we called about this the first time it happened, claiming it to be an emergency.

Emergency maintanace is in their agreement right' WRONG! They never even came.

Three weeks later Lawrence gets another big downpour.

I call on a Thursday, and they say a guy will be over by the end of the weekend.

He never came.

I call Sunday and I'm told this problem isn't unique to my place, and that there's a meeting about what to do with this aparent foundation problem on Monday.

I personally go in Tuesday and am met with employees who have never even heard about a meeting, don't know about my horribly rotten floor, and have no record of us ever calling in about this problem.

In short, this place is an utter joke.

They will take sketchy amounts of money out of your deposite, and guess what...THEY DON'T USE THAT MONEY TO DO WHAT YOU "SUPPOSEDLY" DIDN'T DO! Of course they will clean things that are sorely needed.

It's not like they don't do anything.

However, they sometimes keep it and only preform the necessary maintenance/cleaning if the future renters catch it and demand it be done.

To add more insult, even if you do catch these neglects, they won't get them done until after you have moved in.

They don't let you in to check it before you move in, BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT ISN'T DONE! So if they lie about the carpet, there isn't a dern thing you can do unless you have storage to keep your things while they do their job.

Even if you go into the clubhouse to plead your claim, you'll be met with frozen smiles and a sense that they have no inclanation to spend money on your problem.

It's a very cheaply built complex with faulty...

I'm going to say everything.

I honestly could write about twice what I've already written, but I hope you get the jist.

This place is EVIL!!! DON'T LET THE MINDLESS MARKETING AND NICE APPEARANCE FOOL YOU!!! SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE RIGHT'''
