I lived here my Freshman year at KU (2000-2001) and had very few problems with this place. Maintenance was a little slow, but there was little to be done to begin with. There are a lot of students living here, but the noise level is low. There was a problem with soliciting that was not taken care of. We had one soliciter that was so bad that she vandalized all the property of people who did not buy anything from her.
There was also an issue of parking lot security. Mine and my boyfriend's car were both broken into in the same night, with property missing from mine, and an attempt to steal his stereo in his. There were also numerous occassions where textbooks would be stolen from my car within a ten minute period, which leads me to believe it was students doing the theft. The overall community was ok, but it definitely needs more security.
