I lived in Meadowbrook for three years, of which the first year and a half was ok. My apartment was obviously quite dated and needed much repair when I moved in. They said the carpets had been cleaned, but they didn't look like they had. Depending on your neighbors, this place was fairly quiet.

The management is very nice in person, but when dealing with them over the phone or via email/mail they are extremely nasty and unprofessional. The management is NOT at all consistent in upholding the policies of the complex and they are often quite rude. They appear nice in person, but it is all an act. Upon checking out of my apartment, they tried to charge me for things that were marked on my move-in form. After showing them on the form that these things were noted upon check-in, they said they wouldn't charge me; HOWEVER, a few days later I received a mailing stating I had been charged for them. Calling and confronting them about this did no good! Get EVERYTHING from them in writing if you are forced to live here.

They have made some improvements to the complex, but the only improvement that will make any difference is to tear everything down and start over. They are cheap and stingy about replacing worn carpet and broken fixtures, stained countertops, and broken doors. When these things are replaced they are done so with by poorly skilled workmen. Don't trip on the carpet!

Meadowbrook says its pet friendly, but it is not. If you have a pet or would like to get one, live elsewhere! While many residents do have pets, if you live near one who doesn't like them, the management will side with them - even if you have proof they are deliberately provoking your pet by banging on their ceiling, etc...! Not cool!

Be very careful and document everything if you decide to live here. One would be much better off at many other complexes around town like Fox Run, or the Greens at Alvamar.

Don't live here!
