It's a nice place to live. There is no doubt about that. However, for the last 3 years, the rent keeps going up. I am renting a 1-bedroom unit, which was 550 when I moved in. Following year, 560, and then 580. Now they raised again to 595. Every year little by little. It's too bad that there is no law that can protect tenants from it. Rent can go up, but not every year. It's not a good feeling living in a place that rent is not stable.

yeah of course they will raise it a bit-- look around Lawrence, find somewhere they haven't..
