I live at Hawthorne place which is right next to parkway commons. its the same management, so same probs. when we first moved in, the place was filthy. everthing from the carpet to the bathtubs. we told them we needed the place re-cleaned before we could move in and they told us at the move in inspection that it just meant we wouldnt need to clean when we moved out! yeah right! who does that' like we're gonna let them screw us on that! for the first two months we were trying to get the carpet replaced,because it was filthy and because so many places werent even attached, but they refused. there were huge black stains all over the place, but they said the previous tenants gave them a receipt saying they had it cleaned, so they couldnt do anything. we fought that battle until october until we had a much worse problem: a MASSIVE mouse infestation. their solution' they suggested WE hire an exterminator. I called the city which forced THEM to hire an exterminator as well as repair all of the other city violations including a shoddy ventilation system that would leak CARBON MONOXIDE into the townhome. keep in mind, we're the only townhome they repaired. the ------ exterminator they hired did not place the poison in a proper location, so i got to spend $400 to get my dog's stomach pumped! the wouldnt take care of that either! they wont respond to or fine for noise, which is horrible because our bedroom was practically halfway inside another person's courtyard, they suggested calling the police. they were contstantly requesting to show our unit ALL spring at least 3 times a week, even before we told them we werent renewing our lease. they were also very rude on the phone if we told them we wouldnt be able to show it. the maintenance takes forever and the landscaping wont touch the massive weeds that grow in the courtyards! if you have to courge to move in here after this review, get EVERYTHING in writing, WHICH STILL MAY NOT HELP YOU. we are probably not getting our deposit back even though the carpets looked this way when we moved in and everything will be clean. a major word of advice: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!
