I only moved here because of the location, but I should have saved myself the money and the pain of dealing with First Management and lived somewhere else. My apartment did not appear to be cleaned before I moved in--the bookcases and all the cabinents and drawers were sticky and there were stains on the carpet. There as a hole in one wall going through to the outside and another one in the bathroom wall at least three inches in diameter. Any spots on the wall were crudely patched with flat paint over glossy paint on the rest of the walls.

There were other things too, like the dishwasher not working and the garbage disposal blade being completely rusty, which could probably be blamed on the negligence of the previous tenant in reporting these issues. After waking up several times and finding my door unlocked, however, I called for emergency maintenance to have my locks changed (it was the weekend). The maintenance guy replaced my lock and remarked that my lock wasn't changed before I moved in, which he said they're supposed to do. People only come sporadically to clean, and I think it's only when they have people looking at the place.

The First Management staff is rude and act like everything is an inconvenience to them. I got a notice saying I hadn't paid my rent and would be assessed a late fee and I called to ask them to double check the rent drop box, and the lady immediately answered with "It's empty." I said I would write a new check and that I'd like some kind of assurance that if the old one was found they wouldn't cash it. She said to just stop payment on it (which costs $30). Then I got a call the next day saying they found my check in the drop box, without any apology.
