My husband and I have lived here for almost a year, and will be renewing our lease soon. We moved from an apartment complex that we didn't much care for, and that cost comparable to our townhome at Barrington Park, but had much less space and wasn't anywhere near as nice.

The maintenance staff is wonderful, and have always fixed whatever we needed quickly, and do it right the first time. They are also very accomodating to our schedules, as we like to be there when things are fixed, as we have two dogs that are very territorial, and we won't keep them in their kennel for extended periods of time. In past places that we have lived, sometimes that maintenance people were a little scary, but all of the people that have helped us have been very nice and not at all intimidating.

They do a great job of upkeep. The grass is always freshly mowed, and trimming, etc., is frequently done. In the rare case that something is every overlooked, a simple phone call is all that it takes to fix it.

The new manager is wonderful, and things have become even better since she arrived. We would have recommended the complex before even with the sometimes crabby and rude old manager, but the new lady has made it even better to live here. The other two women in the office are always really sweet and will go out of their way to help.

We also like that they have an early-bird discount for paying your rent early, which saves us money from time to time.

Also, the pet deposit is completely refundable here, so when we do move out to buy a home, we should be able to get that back. None of our previous residences have ever offered that.

The walking trail around the complex is nice on cool nights to take the dogs out.

The only problem that we have had here is parking. We just have a few people in our area who like to have a bunch of people over and they take up a lot of spaces. However, most of our neighbors are very courteous and just leave the two spots in front of our door for us; this is very much appreciated as I am very pregnant. Erica at the office has helped us repeatedly with the parking issue, and issues notes to the offending apartments on the rest of our behalf. In all fairness though, the significant majority of apartments that we drive by in the complex don't seem to have a parking problem at all.

Anyhow, I would definently recommend living here. We looked around a lot before we moved here, and clearly felt that this was the nicest place in Johnson County for our money. Our townhome really does feel like a home, as opposed to being just an apartment.
