I have lived at the Crescent since January 04 and love it.
Sure, sometimes the parking lot is full and you have a hard time parking RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR DOOR, so what'!
And yeah, you may be able to hear your neighbors every now and then - EVERY APARTMENT COMPLEX IN THE ENTIRE WORLD IS LIKE THAT! When have you ever lived somewhere that is totally soundproof'
This is a huge place, and the office staff sees so many people thruout the week, its hard to believe they remember their own names, but they are really good about saying hello whenever i come in, or if i call.
When i signed my lease, they went over everything about it with me and LO AND BEHOLD (just like every other place) they require a WRITTEN NOTICE of 60 days if you want to leave when your lease expires... who gives a verbal notice anyway'''
People who complain about the highway obviously have never lived in a city before... unless your apartment is on the highway, you dont hear it. 435 West is not like the Grandview Triangle or something, there is hardly any traffic ever on it.
And yeah, maybe you can hear some car noise, but how often are you going to be sitting in your apartment with absolutely no other noise to cover it' Get a life!
People who have a problem with the staff have obviously not done something right. This place is great, however if you dont pay your rent, or give proper notice to vacate, they arent going to let you get away with it- FAIR HOUSING duh... you cant just bi**ch and bi**h to get what you want, some people dont give in to that!
As far as maintenance goes, they are pretty good. It may take them a couple days to fix something, if they have to order parts or what not, but again, this place is huge, and there are two guys doing all the work! Both of them are nice and do fast work when it comes down to it.
By the way, dogs ----, and some people dont pick up after their dogs. There is only so much you can expect from human beings. There are also humans who ---- and forget to flush... or if they clog their toilet call a maintenance guy to fix it... how gross is that' Take care of your own problems!
And for those who expect a ton of resident functions, grow up! Have you ever heard of a budget' And even if they did have a ton of functions, how much would you participate' This place is too nice for some of the crappy stuff other apartments take part in.
For all those complainers who think that a little anonymous complaints actually do something- forget it. This is just a ----- venting site for people who get what they deserve.
I love living here, I love the staff, I love the grounds, and I even love watching dogs ---- and tenants not picking it up... that is what life is all about!
