Not such a "GREAT" deal after all....

When I first moved in at Heather Glen I was satisfied for the most part. The main seller for my fiance and I was being able to have large dogs. We have 2 large dogs so it was a relief when we were told we could have them both. Right off the start though our satisfaction slowly disapeared. Our second weekend there, there was a police standoff right outside our window!! Neighborhood is not at all what I expected being in Lenexa and all. Maintenance alot of the time just helped them selves right to your home. They'd knock but then let themselves right in. The parking was sooo RIDICULOUS!! Your allowed to have 2 cars but you don't even have one parking spot. I got parking tickets because I would have no where else to park but in the "fire zone" the city decided to throw in there months after we moved in. Managment would jus shrug their shoulders at this. And did nothing about the 2 abandoned cars that sat there for a year. My most minimal complaint would be the floors in these apartments. They are sooooo squeaky. Everywhere. Which really might not seem to bad but when you have an infant trying to sleep and you can't even walk in your home because he'll wake up it's just beyond ridiculous. You'd think you would just get used to the squeaking but 2 years later it was just intolerable. Another thing is that managment is money hungry. It seems like sometimes they'd do anything to tack that extra dollar to your rent. And the Laudray facilities were so shady. I just felt very uncomfortable down there.
