My lease is up at the end of July and we have considered renewing our lease since the price isn't bad and the size is great. I came on this site just to check out other opinions of apartment complexes around here. Of course I couldn't help but to check out what my neighbors have to say about this place. I realize that this place is pretty outdated and there is a lot that needs help around here like the parking, and the balconies are horrible. I was told by the new management that these were things they were fixing. I didn't believe it too much until last week my friend who also lives here told me they were replacing his balcony. WOW they weren't messing around when they said that they were fixing it. I couldn't help but call to the office to find out what else was going on. I did notice they had all the potholes filled and noticed that they have been painting too. The girl in the office told be of new updated apartments and new clubhouse and I think it is crazy that our previous management did nothing to help and new management is. They are making new updated apartments that me and my roommate are thinking about transferring to since there isn't any main reason why we wouldn't want to stay. Since the new management is actually giving a crap and fixing things around here it just makes sense to stick around. After reading the recent reviews of some people that live here, I realized that I am not ashamed to live here with all the new stuff but I am embarrassed of the people that are putting my home down. Maybe they aren't happy but maybe it is them. I am pretty happy with the new staff and they answer my questions nice and professional. I have gone there many times and one of the girls waited for me to pick up my package even though they were getting ready to close.

I am also a resident, and I don't believe that it is "me" that has the problem as you stated. If you think the potholes have been fixed, try turning the corner from Lord Nelson to Piccadilly. Or up the way by the speed bump near the day care. There are several potholes that have yet to be filled. Filling them with gravel without sealing them is not considered a "fix" to me. Have you ever had a maintnence issue? If your shower head was spitting water out the top & all over the bathroom, even OVER the shower door for 2 months, you might think twice about accusing the residents of having the "bad attitudes". Ooverflowing dishwashers, noisy pipes that have NEVER been fixed in 2 years. It got so bad that my neighbors that moved in back in September below me had asked me if I was banging on the walls all the time. No, it was my pipes!! I had roof leaks in my bedroom. Celiings falling down. I have lived in 2 seperate apartements here, and, believe me, they are rundown. I enjoyed the community though, so I was willing to stick with it. Home is where your heart is, right? But when you go to a pool party, and the staff is rude to you & only concerned with their own gains, then that is no longer a place I want to live. PS-Have you seen the nice green color of the pool? Just because they are spending their $4 million to fix the appearance of things doesn't mean that they are really "fixing" things. Untreated wood decks will last for 2-3 years before they start looking like the old ones. Taking off the shingles & replacing them with metal seeting looked great, but have you tried sleeping during a severe storm? Putting new pool furnature made it look better, but if you don't clean it, it becomes worthless. No, it isn't the residents that have a problem. You may just have had better experiences than the rest of us when dealing with the new management.
