Nolan Management Team needs rehabing!

When I moved in, the manager was great. I loved the size of my apartment, the neighbors were friendly, a little loud, but not too bad. I was super excited! Then, they sold the complex over to Nolan Real Estate. At first that seemed to be a good thing. All the rehabing done to the apartments, clean-up, much needed new balconies, etc. However, the management team that took over is a bunch of skinny, self-obsessed snots that think themselves better than everyone else. Just ask them! When walking on the grounds, they will not smile at the tenants. During the rehabing process, they are unwilling to work with your schedule, yet when they are not on schedule, they refuse to notify you when they WILL be back on schedule. They post something saying they will be in your apartment on such & such day, then turn around & not come in for 3 more weeks. At which time, you have already placed your home back in order, so they want to charge you a fee. They close the pool on summer holidays. The pool went without furniature for WEEKS, now has turned green because they have not cleaned it!
They think that because they have fixed a few things on the grounds that they get to treat us like crap. They have made things worse. The balconies may be nicer, but are not any safer for children to play on. (The slats are not secured, they are simply placed between the railing & the base of the balcony. Not that children should be unattended on a balcony, however, now they shouldn't be near the edges either.) The balconies are smaller. The patio doors open the opposite way of what they used to, so in my model, the door (which is difficult to open anyway because they did a crap job of fitting it to the opening) opens BEHIND my TV. But the blinds open from the original side, which means that I have to step THROUGH my blinds & reach behind my TV to open the back door. When I get up the energy to do this, I have to be careful though, as the contractors did not use long enough screws to screw the frame in, so if I pull too hard to open the door, the frame comes off with the door.
On top of all that fun, there is dealing with them not telling you when they will shut off your water, close the entrance to your apartment, or block off your parking with their trucks or dumpsters. According to them, they don't HAVE to notify you because it isn't in your apartment. Not so sure about you, but I usually take a shower, wash my hands, and do dishes INSIDE my apartment as opposed to outside. Therefore, it IS inside my apartment & I SHOULD be notified.
Normally, these might seem like minor things that could be overlooked. However, when compounded altogether, especially adding to the facts that starting back in March when they took over, we lost our workout center that we had, we were promised amineties that have yet to come. Priorities should come into play here. Which is more important for your tennants' A rock creek near the pool, or our storage units fixed so we can actually USE them' New windows, or working doors & railings' New pool furniature, or potholes fixed that are large enough to swim in when it rains' Pedistal sinks instead of the large counter sink that provides great storage for extra shower necessities' It seems that once again, Nolan is concerned with their looks rather than function at this complex.
I don't care what you do to these apartments. Change the name to London Apartments & Flats (They were considering "Pub & Flats" because they want to open a mini-restraunt for the tennants. Yet another marketing scheme to pull you in & make your life miserable.) Due to all of this, plus massive rent increases for all tennants, they are loosing many of the long time residents. No wonder they have started to accept short term leases. They can't keep anyone in there long enough to make a full year! Their attitude' "Tennants have a choice to live here or not." That's right. So, do yourself a favor. 1 year ago I would have recommended them. Still would have 6 months ago. But as of recent, I wouldn't stay if the price of these were $300! Not worth the hoops they make you jump through!! Maybe if they got a better management team, or one that has matured past high school, it would get better. Currently, not so much.
