I have lived here for several months now, and will not be renewing my lease when it comes up in a couple of months. We moved in over the summer and will be moving out ASAP. The overall quality of these duplexes is really pretty low compared to other properties in the area. The office offers a look and lease special and the staff will pressure you into leaving one if you are not careful. The landscaping is deteriorating rapidly and trash is always blowing around. Neighbors' pets will defecate in your yard and you are responsible for cleaning up after them. You will pay for water, wastewater, gas, electricity, trash/recycling, and cable if you want it. You will also be responsible for ALL outdoor care including mowing, raking, cutting back shrubbery, shoveling snow, and pest control (indoors and out). You will be responsible for smoke detector batteries and furnace filters. The duplexes are drafty in the winter and hot in the summer the utility bills reflect this. During the winter, you must let your faucets drip to keep your pipes from freezing due to poor insulation. If you can get past the office staff, Max the maintenance man is knowledgeable overall and will do a fair job. You must provide your own fridge, microwave, washer and dryer. Yes, you DO get a 2-car garage--BUT not an opener. You have to pay to get one, pay to have it installed, and it must be removed prior to you moving out without damaging the walls/ceiling or they will charge you to remove it. Parking is inadequate and our visitors must park down the street when visiting. Upon moveout, you must also pay to have your carpets cleaned. Bottom Line: If nothing else is available in the area, you have money laying around, you want to pay for all of the upkeep, and you want to pay high rent, this is certainly the place for you!
