I have lived at Oak Park Village for almost 5 years. I have watched 3 different management companies come through, take over, and move on. I would have to say out of all the staff that has worked in the office since I moved in, the staff they have right now is amazing! The leasing girls actually care about our concerns, they remember the little details about us, our family, pets, etc. The manager is really funny and very caring. It's such a breath of fresh air to finally have some genuine people as our landlords. I was considering moving before the staff change, but now I'm definitely going to stay. I would recommend living here.

I find it interesting also that they cannot say anything about their apartment or the maintenance staff. It has to be a member of the staff or a resident they paid to post this! Don't let this fool you! Oak Park Village is the worst apartment in Lenexa!!!!

My concern is that if this is the best the management has gotten I can't imagine it being worse. I am so tired of them having to come into my apartment to check something. I have never lived anywhere that they have to come in so often.

I has got to be a fake post. The apartments here are crap. I saw a video the other day on it on a rental site and it's so sad the way the portray the place. And like the above stated response, I agree, they are always wanting to come in to check something. The staff is stuck up to my fiance but oh so nice to me until we went in together then they were rude to both of us. Please don't move here, you'll regret it.

Marilyn, Im sorry if you felt the comments left were viscous. I guarantee that no one was directing anything at you personally. The main reason your review seems suspect is that you don't mention hardly anything but the office staff. That is not a complete review. I find it hard to believe that you feel items such as: the grounds, parking, noise and maintenance deserve such high/perfect ratings. Having lived in this complex myself, I know first hand that none of those items were/are perfect. It is highly unlikely that you would have no issues whatsoever and everyone else (including myself) would. I have lived in many apt complexs in my life and this by a wide margin, was the worst, so bad in fact, that I could no longer rent another apt again. I bought a house after wards as I just wouldn't chance another complex like this again.

I'm glad to hear that someone else also agrees that there are some very positive changes happening. I talked an Amanda, one of the ladies in the office about all the things that were being posted on this site and she was absolutely horrified! She asked me if I knew who any of those people were--of course I don't and if I did, I wouldn't breach any trust established. I feel if there is a serious enough issue, then the resident should physically go to the office and calmly address the issue with the staff. She asked me to tell anyone I heard a complaint from to PLEASE come talk to her. She basically asked for the opportunity to make things right for anyone who had had a previously negative experience.

This is true, the current maintence guys seem really nice as I have seen and spoken with them in the recent weeks. Other than some shady contract negotiations when we first moved in, I don't have much to complain about.

I would like to request that my team and I be given the opportunity to make you feel differently about Oak park Village. We do inspect our apartments to ensure they are being maintained as well as building inspections which is required by the city. I know that sometimes it is an inconvience,but we are only "checking" on things to see what we need to do to take care of the buildings and apartments. Our maintenance team is very good and well qualified. We have been short staffed,however we are dedicated to making this community a great and comfortable community to call home.
