Management has become manipulative

When I first moved in, things were great. In our two-bedroom, the layout allowed for a huge walk-in closet. The size is just what we needed, as we have friends and relatives that come for a stay.
My granddaughters moved in who are of mixed race. As we now had five people living in a two bedroom, we were told we had to move to a three bedroom. Of course we could not meet their qualifications for a three bedroom, so in effect we were evicted for taking in our three granddaughters.
Something curious is happening as there seems to be a huge pile of 'discarded' items near the trash dump every week or so. It appears that people are being evicted.

well the reason you were probably asked to leave was due to the building code. You can only have X amount of people in each floorplan. This probably broke fire codes and therefore wasnt allowed. If somewhere were to happen the apartment complex would be held liable for this. I seriously doubt it had anything to do with race. In regards to the piles of discarded items near the trash dumb this could and probably is due to people moving and throwing stuff away they dont want or need. It is nearing the end of the month and their lease could be ending at the end of the month and they are getting rid of stuff they dont want or need. I seriously think you need to reconsider their actions they took as they didnt anything unreasonable.

I have a problem with the staff at Park Edge responding to these Reviews. We are glad that You are following the Federal guidelines, but you kids (which the staff are) need to learn from these and take them to heart instead of defeating yourselfs.

What was manipulative was requiring us to move to a three bedroom, then denying us a three bedroom by requiring us to re-apply. Then you deny the application. A very sly way to evict someone and make it look like they left on their own.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. If codes exist they must be followed and why would anyone allow someone to move into an apartment they couldn't afford?

I know it seems harsh that you did a good thing by taking in your grandaughters, but it does specfically state in their terms that up to 4 people can live in a 2 bedroom. Hope you found another place.

Park Edge evicted neighbors of mine after they were about a month behind in rent. I found it funny that they were not allowed to get there belongings but i saw the maintenace man go in several times and take belongings to his truck. I really dont care for staff at all.I would never recommend Park Edge just for the simple fact of the unprofessional staff. Pease don't try to act like you care about your tenants, we can all see your through your fake attitude.
