Nice but not worth the money

Complex is now called "The Dunes at City Center."
I live in one of the 3 bedroom/2 bath apartments and overall like the layout and certain amenities, such as a balcony, fireplace, and private entrance, and you cannot beat its proximity to shopping and major roads.
However, given construction issues and energy inefficency plus other apartments in the area, these are overpriced.
There are numerous places in my floors that bounce or feel like a hole that has been carpeted over, and when my downstairs neighbors close their front door firmly it shakes my apartment.
I'm on the second story, yet during the rainy seasons I will have a major infestation of ants coming in through my kitchen window.
Insulation on the apartments is awful; expect your power bill to triple when you have to run your A/C (and I keep mine set high during the summer).
I can hear when my neighbors take showers, and if anyone in an adjoining apartment is a smoker, you will smell the smoke through the bathroom vents.
The property advertises 2 pools, but the second pool hasn't been open in two years.
All my neighbors on my side of the building left for more reasonably priced living.
The staff IS a revolving door; the monthly newsletter is the only way to keep up with the changes.
No complex is perfect and I don't regret moving here, but for the price you can rent a larger townhome with a 2 car garage a block down the street.
