Rosehill Pointe

I've had the most unpleasant experience while living at Rosehill Pointe. The management is unresponsive, deals with problems by ignoring tenants' requests and manipulates the community rules to direct them against individual tenants. Any attempt to resolve a problem will end up in you being ignored all the way up the latter (Equity Residential Properties).

Trust me, while talking to other tenants I realized that it wasn't only me. My neighbors went month-to-month after their 1 year lease was over. Four months into this, over 10 days after they paid the rent for the current month, they received a note that their rent was 'underpaid'. Turns out that the management raised their rent by $70/month, and did not bother even telling them. Curiously, this increase came after this couple mentioned in front of the office staff that they will probably be moving out in a couple of months. It seemed to me that the management was in a rush to squeeze some dough out of these people. (their deposit was only $50, like mine - they moved in during a "special").

This one really bothered me - unless you have a W/D in the apartment - do not even consider using the ones at the community. The laundry facilities are so dirty, run-down and badly lit, I once drove 1/2 hour to a 24hr. laundromat to avoid using the Rosehill machines.

Water pressure in the bathroom was horrible. (Unless you like being merely "sprinkled".) The water temperature would suddenly switch from hot to cold, or simply loose pressure alltogether.

My Rosehill Pointe experience is the number one reason why I am a homeowner today, and will never rent again.
