My Private Hell

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Beware! I lived there for only a year and hated it the 1st day. After only 5 months I had turned in my 30 days notice. I tried to make it work but realized it wouldn't. The sink in the master bathroom was detached from the cabinets below. Their solution... was to caulk it, not FIX it. The MB bathroom door NEVER got fixed after a couple of requests to repair it. After slight rain one night the wall in the living room started leaking where there had been minor cracking and it appeared to be bulging from the weight of the water. I called maintenance and was told they were aware of bad structuring in the apts were I lived. No one came out that night. I found out later that my neighbor had the same problem and it was NEVER fixed after a YEAR ! She even had to move out of her last apt, at the same complex, because the ceiling collapsed (not sure how big it was). There was mildew in our apartment and when I informed the office I was led to believe it would be fixed immediately. Not so. On top of that, some of my personal belongings were broken when maintenance came in to my place to complete a work order (lots of work orders issued). I was told that the items were never touched and it had fell on their own. I had to get the items replaced and they simply deducted that amount from my rent. The parking was outrageous. You never got a parking near your apartment if you got home passed 8:00 or so. Bad lighting. There were a few break-ins to cars when I lived there. Close to my apt! My neighbor even began video taping her car sitting in the lot after witnessing two young men trying to get in it. I was even giving reasons why some work orders didn't get answered (low staffing, unexperienced staff, new maint sup, was in training class!, you name it, I heard it). I recall asking Christina, leasing agent/assistant, if she dealt with those issues in her apt at Rosehill. Of course, the answer was no. I would have been a loyal tenant if they had simply fixed the issues. But apparently that was to much to ask. More happened to me while living there, but you already got the picture. Look, I am just stating FACTS. My experience. Nothing more. Nothing less.
PS. I agree that the posting (Best Place to Live, dtd 3/8/04) is by someone at the office, who may live at the apts. The persons asks, "why would any quality person go onto the internet and trash an apartment community"---Read the listing. Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Ha HA Ha
