A little disapointed

I will say that I did love the interior of the apartments; pendant and track lighting, dark countertops and vinyl, very nice light fixtures (not the tacky cheap stuff you normally see in apartments), etc. Although a little far from a lot of things, I did enjoy the location of the complex, especially when the 24 hr. Price Chopper opened up right next door. BUT this doesn't make up for my other issues.

I lived in building 1 i believe it was, right by k10. The noise from the highway was very loud, but I knew my location when I put my deposit down so I can't really complain. My location had ample parking and I was able to park right outside my breezeway, which was convinient.

My major complaint was the BUGS. I had to share my apartment with bugs, and this was a problem all year long. In the warmer summer months, the june bugs literally would march in a line right through the corner of my front door. I came home one night and found probably at least 15 or 20 june bugs in my entryway/kitchen. When the weather started to get colder, in came the orange lady bugs!! These came through all the windows, and I made sure they were closed tightly and locked. I would even find them in my sheets on my bed. I tried both maintenance and pest control-neither solved the problem, so it was obviously just poor construction.

The floors were paper thin. I received 2 noise complaints myself for being loud, b/c aparently my fiance is a heavy walker.. It was very frustrating to have to tiptoe around our own apartment 24/7. And we have never had problems with this at previous apartments until we lived here.

Construction was progressing very slowly. The "pond" was hardly a pond.. more so a sewage drainage. I find it very hard to believe they actually charge extra for this "premium view." They slacked on the landscaping, only laying down sod on the front of the buildings, and let weeds grow as grass elsewhere.

I will say that I did not renew my lease, though they did offer 1st month free on my renewal w/ no increase.

I will agree with this 100%. I just moved in and have been nothing but disappointed since the day I finished unpacking. The apartments themselves are very pretty, but they are VERY poorly constructed. I can hear EVERYTHING that goes on above and beside me...and I do mean everything (you all can use your imaginations). I can deal with the highway and train noise (I too knew what I was getting into), but the everyday people noises are so obnoxious: endless hours of surround sound, yelling, fighting, etc. I will also mention that my cell phone doesn't work inside my apartment at all (and I have Verizon...it works almost everywhere!). I have to pay for a land line for the first time in five years because they failed to mention that to me. It's only been two months and I'm already counting down to moving day.
