I rented from Chesapeake a few years ago and was pleased with it overall after I considered the price. I found my way back here in January 2002. Bad...Bad...mistake. I have had several problems with the office staff saying that they would send maintenance ASAP due to the standing water and sewage that backed up in my kitchen, laudry room and dining room carpet and never showing up. I have had to deal with emergency maintenance each time to get anything done. I was refusing to spend time in an apartment that wwas leaking old dish water and the upsatirs neighbors bean sprouts. (which by the way was the same thing that came up the 5 months before this) On several occasions I have called th eoffice regarding simple things and received nothing in return.
I only had a 6 month lease and was tired of the management and poor upkeep but unfortunately a traveling job and the time was to crunched. I am stuck here one more year. After signing a new lease the staff never told me to put the bills back in my name. I never knew that they were out!!!!! and woke up one morning with no hot water after paying the bill they requested one day earlier. I called to straighten this out and the manager never returned my calls. The gas company had to call and inform the office that the office had made a mistake and my bill was paid.
There are so many things that I could type for hours. I will be sending a formal complaint. SEVERAL OF THEM. To the head quarters and the better business bureau. If thier are any other places to send it I will.
One of the questions on here is would I recommend this place. Absolutley not. If I only knew....

Did anything ever come of this? Did the BBB respond? Did the headquarters? If so, I would like to know because I want to send formal complaints as well!
