I also had lost my deposit due to "excessive pet urine". After being told I would receive my entire deposit back. My carpet was horrible when I moved in and probably cleaner when I moved out. There were holes in the padding under the carpet and since the carpet was sooo old and worn through you could see dark spots. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau, Fox 4 Action News and another company. They finally gave me all but $100.00 back. I since have come across like 20 other similar stories just through friends of mine at Price Mgmt properties. If tenants don't fight back HARD, they win.
