I have lived here a year in June and we are moving when the lease is up. The office staff are usually pleasant, however slightly unprofessional. My biggest issues are with maintenance. Although the grounds are kept neat, things have broken repeatedly in the apartment and were never really fixed. The closet doors in the master bedroom fell off the 2nd night after we moved in, maint. was out 3 times to put them back up, and after calling the 4th time I was told by office staff that "they were older and they tend to not stay on." Apparently that was the solution they had to offer. Also the windows in general are very very drafty, in fact the window in the master bedroom (which the maint. claim to have fixed)remains off track w/ a 2 inch gap between the windown and the seal. The AC is a huge problem. Once the temp. was above 80, the AC was really ineffective. I was told by the office staff that we could expect it to be "hotter than normal b/c we lived on the top floor," but they didn't have an answer when I informed them that my best friend lives in the apt next door and her apt was a good 20 degrees cooler than mine. For a month straight maint was out at least 3 days a week to look at it. EVERYTIME they said it just needed "recharged." Finally after the temp was close to 100 for a few days, we told the office that we were not paying full months rent b/c we were paying for an accomodation that was a supposed feature of the apt, that never worked. The next day they replaced the very old unit w/ another old unit (that still doesn't work) and complained LOUDLY the entire time. I was amazed at how rude and beligerant the maint. staff was around tenants such as myself. My suggestion if you are looking in the Lenexa area, there are a LOT of other properties (similar in $) that operate more professionally than this Price Brothers Property. KEEP LOOKING!
