This is, bar none, the worst apartment place I have ever had the misfortune of living in.

The first thing the management did (while we were on our way from our previous city to here) was tell us they had to change our apartment to one that was open. Bad sign.

We got the "new" apartment and should have refused possession. It had ants and roaches all over it. Supersmokers clearly lived there. The fixtures were covered with a film of smoke residue.

The apartment was, bluntly put, disgustingly filthy. It took us nearly a week to clean things to the point that they would not get any cleaner.

Management was summoned several times and they said they would have the cleaners come by, but they never did.

The ownership gave us a free month as compensation... but it still was not worth it.

The gas heater constantly leaked. All the apartments in the winter had the smell of gas emanating from them.

The carpeting had not been replaced... At the end of our lease, we got a dog specifically so we could potty train him in an apartment with bad carpeting. We figured they would replace the carpet when we moved out -- we were wrong. The next guy moved in on the same filthy, disgusting carpet.

The neighbors were awful. We had to call the police a few times. One night a small bomb was detonated in a dumpster. Cars were consistently being broken into. Lenexa has almost crime outside of this apartment complex.

The parking situation was awful. The lots and sidewalks took forever to be cleared of snow.

There is literally nothing good I can say about this place other than I lived through my lease here.

Yeah, we moved 200 miles with all our belongings and had a choice about moving in. Once you move in, you accept the contract. But yeah, I also feel -- stupid for having accepted the apartment in the first place. Which is why I am posting this review about how terrible this place is. They shouldn't even use this place as a kennel.
